OBITUARY

Mark Jeffrey Mimms

12 February, 1954 – 19 January, 2021
IN THE CARE OF

Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home

Mark J. Mimms, 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19. He was born in Dinuba, California, on February 12, 1954, to Wayne Mimms and Jean Shaw, both who preceded his death. He was married to his beloved Karen for 45 years, who he met during their high school days at Hoover High. After graduation, Mark served four years in the Air Force and then graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor's in Criminology, but found his passion working in commercial real estate.

Mark was a well-respected real estate broker for over 40 years. His dedication to his work was only surpassed by his love and commitment to his family, whom he leaves behind: his loving wife Karen, his two sons, Mark II and his wife Dorota, and Jon and his wife Allie; his three grandchildren Peyton, Dallas, and Myka; his five brothers and one sister; his mother-in-law; his brothers and sisters-in-law, along with their families, all of whom he loved dearly.

Mark was honest, generous to friends and strangers alike, funny and remarkably positive. He lit up every room. He loved traveling, riding motorcycles, playing golf, and singing karaoke. His signature catch-phrase continues to bring smiles to those who loved him, now from the mouths of his sweet grandchildren: "Yeah baby!"

A Celebration of Life will be held at New Hope Community Church on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 11:30 am and will also be livestreamed at Newhopechurch.net. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to CBMC-Fresno or to MultipleMyeloma.org.
