Mark Lindsay Williams, a resident of Laurel, Maryland, passed away peacefully, in the presence of family, at the University of Maryland Hospital, early Thursday morning, August 1, 2019, following heart complications.
Mark was born in Long Beach, California, March 11, 1947.
He is preceded in his home-going by his parents, Leo M. and Marylou (Dewhirst) Williams, of Fullerton, California.
He is survived by his sons, Shepard A. Williams, Evan A. Williams, Evan’s wife, Maureen, and his two grandsons, Leo and Seamus Williams. Mark is also survived by three older siblings, Marcia Kahn, and husband, Tim; Curtis Williams and wife, Carolyn; Teresa Daniels and husband, Noel, along with 9 nieces and nephews, 24 great nieces and nephews, and Mark’s former wife, Joan Kwasiborski.
Mark worked for the Department of Defense at Fort Meade, Maryland for over 29 years and was a U.S. Navy Veteran, retiring as a Master Chief in the reserves.
A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1102 Montgomery Street, Laurel, MD 20707, Monday evening, 7:00 P.M., August 5, 2019.
Donaldson Funeral Home of Laurel, Maryland is helping with funeral arrangements.
The interment will be at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Rd, Santa Nella, California.
