

Martha Hoff was born in Mountain Lake, MN February 10, 1920 and passed away Saturday evening July 2, 2016at the age 96. After graduating from High School in 1938,she attended a year at the local Mountain Lake Bible School, continued her education and moved to Mankato, MN to attend the Mankato Teachers College. After her education there she enjoyed her first year of teaching in a one room eight-grade school near Windom, MN.
She married her beloved husband Ebner Friesen in 1943 and moved to Fresno, CA. Both graduated from Fresno Pacific University, then PBI, in 1948. They were faithful members of the Bethany Mennonite Brethren Church. It was their desire to do more Mission work and made their plans to go to Bogota, Columbia and areas around there for 25 years. In 1991, her husband Ebner J. Friesen passed away at 75.
Several years later she married David Hoff and she moved to the farm near Caruthers, and enjoyed the new career in farming to which Martha grew up with in her early years. After nearly 10 wonderful years David passed away leaving her a widow again.
She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Helena Klassen, first husband Ebner J. Friesen, second husband David Hoff, Sr., son Merle Friesen, brother Edwin Klassen.
Survivors: Daughter, Alicia Patriquin, husband David, grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa and Michael, and sister Anne Klassen, also son David Hoff Jr, and wife, Dolores, daughter Dorothy Stitts, husband Jack, and many grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.
Memorial Services will be on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Bethany Mennonite Church, 9161 N Maple Ave Fresno, CA 93720, at 11:00am
