“M” Andy Koontz, 68 of Fresno, CA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2025.
He was born February 28, 1957 in Medford, Oregon to the Merrit and Pat Koontz.
Andy was a veteran of Vietnam Era, serving with the United States Army. He was a member of good standing of the Labor’s International Union of North America where he was employed for 40 years.
Andy was very gifted artist. He created many beautiful pictures in charcoal pencils, watercolor and oil painting, and statutes. He will truly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by one brother, Arnold (Debbie) Koontz, of Port Huron, MI, two sons, Andrew S. (Janice) Koontz of Edwards, MO, Rueben Rodriguez of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Christy (Mike) Koontz of Chicago, IL, and Amber Garcia of Hickory Hills, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Merrit E. Koontz (October1, 2020), his mother Pat Koontz (December 8, 2008) and two brothers, Arthur O. Koontz (December 24, 1995) and Ronald Roth (April 12, 2011).
