Marvin David Scheidt

Marvin passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014, with family at his side. He was born on November 19, 1935, to David and Christina (Lehman) Scheidt in Fresno. He and his wife Jacqueline (Hoyer) Scheidt were married for 58 years.

He was raised on a farm in the Biola area, attended Central Union High School, and graduating in 1953. He worked in the automotive industry through retirement. His priorities were with family. Other interests were many; sports car racing, flying, and motor homing. He was also an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.

Marvin was a member of the Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) in the 1960's, Edison Social Club, Central Valley Aviation Association (CVAA), Belmont Country Club, California Heartland RV Club and the Clovis Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Jackie; children, Victoria Barrington and her husband Steve, Lori Grossman and her husband Bob, Marvin Scheidt, Larre Scheidt and his wife Jeanie; 11 grandchildren; and sister, Helen Lust and her husband Ken.

The Family would like to thank Dr. Ravi Rao and staff; Dr. Gurinder Narain; Saint Agnes Hospice/Home Health Care; and special caregiver Barbara, for their care and support during his long illness.

A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on July 11, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the Edison Social Club, 3325 W. Clinton, Fresno, CA at 11:00 a.m.
