

When she was in her fifties her back was tired from her many years of service so she decide to pursue work in a medical office. Fortunately, she was hired at Fresno County Department of Mental Health as an office assistant and worked for ten years. She made many wonderful friends along the way and kept in touch with many throughout the years. Neona stood alongside her family whenever needed. She retired early to stay home to care for her mother, Winnie Winters. After he mother passed away she took care of her Aunt Billie with Alzheimer's until her aunt passed away. Shortly thereafter, she cared for her fist great-granddaughter until she was two years old. Only because of her ailing health did she end her care giving for people but she then managed to love and spoil her little Chihuahua, Pixie.
Neona could always look past differences in people and saw equality in all. Rich or poor, color or creed she treated every person with dignity and respect. Her family and friends recognize her as a beautiful person whom truly had the gift of service. Her personality made her a joy to be around. So much grace was evident in her attitude. As the years passed and her frail body became less able to do things she made the most of her time by chatting with friends and neighbors and spending time with her family.
She fought a good fight and never gave up. Her strength was incredible. He love was enduring. Her patience e was infinite. Now that the pain is gone, the beauty of her character is revealed. Neona has one daughter, six grandchildren and five great-
