Nicholas P. Schiavone passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He was born on August 25, 1921 in Worcester, Ma. He attended school in Worcester, Ma. and then moved to New York. Nicholas joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 and served in both France and Germany before being discharged as a Sergeant in 1947.
Nicholas worked for the U.S. Post Office and in 1951 went to work at the Veterans Administration Hospital. He retired after 33 years as the Chief Officer of Operations in 1983.
Nicholas is survived by his loving wife, Lucille (Cupie) of 68 years; his sons, William and his wife Carol, Larry and his wife Glenda, and Robert and his wife Grace; his daughter, Lynette Baker and her husband Jim; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Denise Schiavone and her husband John Vivian, Jennifer Schiavone and James Baker and his wife Whitney; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Tony Schiavone and his wife Betty,
A Graveside Service will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
