Olga A. Maltos, 86, of Fresno, CA, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. She will be most remembered for her great cooking. Providing food was a great comfort to her no matter what hour it was. Whether it was a family feast or coffee and pan dulce with the neighbors, it brought her joy. We will also miss all of her childhood stories and her many adventures.
She was a 13 year breast cancer survivor and her strength never let it affect her passion for life. She had quite a sense of humor, was quite the prankster, and loved to laugh. She loved to play her cassette collection of Mexican music. With all her fun and silliness, she always made time for reading the bible and expressing her love for God. Her life was full and those that weren't family, shortly became family.
Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Arturo F. Maltos; two sons; and three daughters.
She is survived by her ten children; and many, many grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
