Olivia Gutierrez Solorio

Olivia Gutierrez Solorio, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Fresno, California, at the age of 83. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Born on December 28, 1941, in Chihuahua, Mexico, Olivia lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and her community.

In October of 1966, Olivia married Joey A. Solorio, and together they shared 59 years of marriage built on family, commitment, and enduring strength. She is survived by Joe and their five children: Joey Solorio Jr. (Jessica), Rudy Solorio, Stevie Solorio (Lorraine), Gabriel Solorio (Laura), and Amanda Solorio. Olivia was also blessed with six cherished grandchildren: Maegan Solorio, Jacob Solorio, Alex Villa Heredia, Hunter Solorio, Gage Solorio, and Gabriel Serrano.

Olivia is further survived by her sister, Margaret (Gutierrez) Gonzalez, and her brother, Vincent Gutierrez, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved her dearly.

She will always be remembered for her warm smile, joyful laugh, and unwavering kindness. An animal lover at heart, Olivia’s greatest passion was grooming dogs—a career and calling she lovingly devoted herself to for more than 60 years. She touched the lives of countless families and their pets through her gentle care and dedication. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Olivia’s love, laughter, and strength will never be forgotten.

We invite you join us as we gather to honor and remember our beloved Mother. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10:00 am at Palm La Paz, Calaveras Chapel, located at 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721, followed by an interment service at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S. Cornelia Ave, Fresno CA 93706.
