13 December, 1925 – 27 July, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel

Onedra Bratcher was born Onedra Charlce Perry to Francis Afton and Rowland Walker Perry on December 13, 1925, in Lipan, Hood County, Texas.

After graduating from high school in 1942, mom went to Fort Worth to work and eventually moved to Washington DC in 1949. It was there, after a blind date and whirlwind courtship, she met and married Kenneth M Bratcher. Their first daughter Carol was born in 1951 in Alexandria, VA while Ken was still in the service. Debra, daughter number two, was born in 1954 in Fort Worth, TX, after Ken was discharged from the Army. After many moves to many towns, the family found themselves in Fresno.

Mom was a housewife and stay at home mom. She was a member of the Elks Lodge's Emblem Club and Shiner's Daughters of the Nile organizations. And through the Shiners she and dad traveled the world, going to almost every continent.

Onedra is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 72 years, Kenneth.

She is survived by her two daughters Carol Ramos (Tony) and Debra Calabrese (Patrick), along with 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren. Onedra is also survived by her sister Shirley Ballard and many nieces and nephews.
