Opal Arnold at the age of 92 slipped away quietly and peacefully (which was her lifestyle) into the arms of her Lord and Savior. She had made her home with her daughter Janice in Fresno for the past 19 years since the death of her husband of 55 years A. L. “Sparky” Arnold. She will be remembered for the gracious hospitality, awesome cooking, generous heart and smiling spirit. Her art of homemaking, gardening and the tax season cookies for Jan’s office touched more lives with her love and skill than she could ever have imagined. She passes on her legacy of love, faith and work ethic to her daughters Jan Arnold of Fresno, JoAnn and husband David Lyon of Sonora, two grandsons Jeffrey Clark of Fresno his daughter Stevi and Eric Clark and his wife Debbie of Burbank and their two daughters, Haley and Sarah.
Private family graveside will be held on Tuesday and a life celebration at her daughter's’ home will be held after the holidays.
