Rest well " grama" .. gone, but never forgotten........

You will always be in our hearts and sadly missed!  I will always cherish the time we spent together.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Grandma i will miss you alot. I promised Grandpa that i would take care of you as well as i took care of him in his final days and i did just that. I would do it all over again in a heart beat. I will miss you both so very much and i will think of you both every day.  I will never forget you and all the good times we had together. I still remember the trip you and grandpa took my brother and i on to Yellowstone park.My you rest in peace NANA.

It hurts to remember but we will never forget her.  My heart goes out to all the Herren family.  May she rest in peace.

I know what unconditional love feels like because you gave so much of yourself to me.

I could always count on the fresh and warm grilled cheese when I got home from school, the fresh vegetables and corn bread with dinner and scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup for dessert. 

You took me on many trips with your stories of when you were my age-most of them to teach me a valuable lesson that I am now passing on to my 3 children. You told me stories about my grandpa and how he provided for his family-I miss him too and can only hope I make him proud. 

You showed me the strength that the generations of Herrens had embodied before me and that I was part of something that mattered and to make sure I taught my children and reminded them of the responsibility they have to carry on our name.

Im sorry I did not visit as much as I should have. The thought/sight of the woman who reminded me I could take on the world not being able to recognize me was unbearable and not something I could take. Damn, Alzheimers and Dementia! Nana, I hope you can forgive me. 

There are so many things that I want to tell you, to share with you the accomplishments of my children and see you smile with the same Herren Pride I smile with. Im saddened by that thought, but know that one day I will be able to share them with you in a better place. 

It breaks my heart to know youre gone! I promise to make you proud as each day passes and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Give grandpa a big hug and kiss for me-Thank you Grandma for all you have given me. Most importantly allowing me to see myself through your eyes and knowing the feeling of unconditional love as I trek through this lifetime forever in your debt and living each day to repay you for all that you have done.
