Paul Conway was born July 31, 1927 in Santa Rosa, Ca. to Thomas and Jeanette Conway. He passed away in his home on Tuesday July 3, 2012. He was married to his beloved wife Dorothy for 57 years until her passing in 2008.
Paul was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Korean War. He then worked 38 years in the Fresno County Assessor's office, retiring in 1989 as Assistant to the Assessor. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with family, was an active member in SIR's (Seniors in Retirement) and Elks Lodge 439 and continued his life long passion for golf.
Paul is survived by his children: Chuck and his wife Carla, Cheryl Zinich and her husband Evan, Patty McNiff and her husband Mark, and his five grandchildren (Hannah, Chase, Emily, Travis and Melissa).
A graveside service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Thursday July 12 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
