

Pauline Murillo Cervantes was born on June 29, 1934 in Brawley, California. She attended Edison High School. She married John P. Cervantes in Fresno, California on December 10, 1952. They moved to Indio, Calif. in 1954, where they started their family of five children;
Tom, John, Robert, Marina, and Yolanda.
She was a housewife and loving mother. She loved to sew, bake, garden, and she taught herself to play piano. Pauline and John were among the members who pioneered the first Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church in Indio in 1955. She helped with the advancement of the church by giving of her time and talents as Church Treasurer, Secretary, Cradle Roll and Kindergarden teacher, Missionary Work, and she sang for the services.
She was preceded in death by Manuel and Angelita Murillo; Richard Murillo, Carlos Murillo; and grandsons, Jeremy Ferratt and Robert Julian Cervantes.
Paulline is survived by her loving husband of 62 years John Cervantes; sons, Tom and Linda (wife) Cervantes; John and Martha (wife) Cervantes; Robert and Sylvia (wife) Cervantes; daughters, Marina Ferratt; Yolanda Rodriguez; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Fresno Central Seventh Day Adventist Church on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
