

After graduating from Edison High School in 1960, she continued her education at Fresno State College. After graduating, she worked for the Department of Mental Health in Palo Alto, Ca. for eight years and returned to Fresno State to receive her Master's Degree in Social Work.
Later in life, she was a business owner, worked for Fresno County EOC and Workforce Connection. For almost ten years she worked as a Family Court Mediator for the Fresno County Superior Court, which she retired from in 2011.
She is preceded in death by her mother Louise Jackson; grandmother, Annie Harris; great-grandmother, Nina House; cousins, Eloise Cowings, Mary Dillion, and Nina Faye Galloway.
She is survived by her aunt, Ernestine Harris; sister, Maxine Thomas of Los Angeles, Ca.; her daughter, Nicole Stovall of Fresno, Ca.; her nephew, Mark Thomas and his wife Heidi; grandniece Breanna; grandnephew Jayden; and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Friday, January 6, 2012, at 1:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at People's Church on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 1:30 p.m., with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society at 340 W. Fallbrook Ave., #101, Fresno, Ca. 93711.
