Peter William Melton

Peter was born in Fresno, California, and made Fresno his home throughout his life. He graduated from McLane High School in 1976 and worked in the family business, Melton Air Conditioning, and later for J.C. Melton Air Conditioning. He was a loving family man and the father of two children. He died peacefully in his home after battling a long illness.

Peter was a hard-working and fun-loving man who especially appreciated the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping and ATV riding. He was most happy during the holidays which he spent with his family and friends engaging in outdoor trips and activities. He was always very generous with his time and talent.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mildred Melton, and two sisters, Shirley Jones and Patrice Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Susana; his daughter, Jennifer; his son, Peter (Billy); his brothers: Jack Melton, Frank Melton, and Tom Melton; his sisters: Lee Yurkovic, Laurie Lish, and Jeanne Sellman; and his lifelong friend, Randy Gin.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 4:00 P.M., at the Fresno Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 2980 E. Yale Avenue. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Peter Melton to Secrets Unsealed, a ministry of the SDA Church, and sent to:
