

Ralph was born on July 22, 1919, in Fresno, Ca. to Daniel and Kate Hartwig. He attended Perrin Colony Elementary School and graduated from Washington Union High School in 1937. He was very involved in Future Farmers of America and welding. Ralph farmed primarily wine grapes and raised turkeys with his brothers in the Raisin City area of Fresno County. He enjoyed fishing, trips to the coast and country music. He was a wonderful family man and really enjoyed his kids and grandkids. He was quite a good horseman and dancer in his younger years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
The family would like to thank Cottonwood Court Assisted Living for the loving care and dedication provided to Ralph during his final days.
Ralph is survived by Betty Hartwig, his wife of 56 years; his son, Lloyd Hartwig; his daughter, Karen Segovia; his son-in-law, Phillip Segovia; grand-children, Kelli Hartwig, Brandon Ellis-Segovia, Zachary Segovia, and Chloe Segovia; and his brother, Floyd Hartwig.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 10:00 a.m.
