Richard Higby Kay

Richard H. Kay was born and raised in Eldon Missouri on March 6, 1927. After serving in the United States Navy, Richard earned a Master of Religious Education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth Texas in 1951.

While in Texas, Richard met and married Geraldine Biles, his wife of 63 years, in San Antonio Texas. Soon after their wedding Richard and Gerry left Texas to begin their first ministry. After serving 40 years of ministry, Richard retired as Director, Office of Planning and Research for Southern Baptist Convention Sunday School Board in Nashville Tennessee. Richard and his wife returned to Fresno, CA in 1990 where he continued working with and help grow developing churches. There was no better husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather or great grandfather than Richard.

A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Community Church, 4620 E. Nees Ave, Clovis, CA, on Saturday December 6, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.
