Rudy Barrios Ureño, was born on July 13, 1956. Rudy was a resident of Hollister who passed away in Fresno, California on July 28, 2025 at the age of 69. He came to Fresno seeking treatment for his condition. His sisters are grateful they were able to spend the last seven months with him.
He graduated from San Benito High School and worked at San Benito Foods, then later at Gilroy Foods, where he retired in June 2021. He married in June 2022 in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico.
He enjoyed sports and was a fan of the 49ers. He also liked reading and listening to music especially Los Terrícolas and Los Bukis. Most of all, he enjoyed going on long walks.
He is survived by his wife, Pascuala Marquez Lopez, and his four stepdaughters: Sarahí Gonzalez, Diana Gonzalez Marquez, Paola Gonzalez Marquez, and Cinthya Gonzalez Marquez. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Gabriela Gonzalez, Kevin Gonzalez, Kristal Gonzalez, and Mia Yelin Gonzalez.
Also surviving him are two brothers, Frank Ureño and Luis Ureño, and two sisters, Amy Villarreal and Yolanda Ureño-Rocha.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Ureño; his mother, Maria Jesus Barrios; and his brothers, Manuel Ureño, Tony Ureño, and Robert Ureño.
Rudy will be remembered as a great husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and son.
There will be a visitation at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, located at 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 2140 N Cedar Ave., Fresno, CA 93703.

Rudy Barrios Ureño nació el 13 de Julio de 1956. Era residente de Hollister y falleció en Fresno, California, el 28 de julio de 2025 a la edad de 69 años. Llegó a Fresno en busca de tratamiento para su enfermedad. Sus hermanas agradecen haber podido pasar los últimos siete meses con él.

Le gustaban los deportes, especialmente los 49ers. También le gustaba leer y escuchar música de Los Terrícolas y Los Bukis, entre otros. Pero lo que más disfrutaba era salir a caminar.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Pascuala Márquez López, y sus cuatro hijastras: Sarahí González, Diana González Márquez, Paola González Márquez y Cinthya González Márquez. También le sobreviven cuatro nietos: Gabriela González, Kevin González, Kristal González y Mia Yelin González.
También le sobreviven sus dos hermanos, Frank Ureño y Luis Ureño, y sus dos hermanas, Amy Villarreal y Yolanda Ureño-Rocha.
Le precedieron en el fallecimiento su papá, Francisco Ureno; su mamá, María Jesús Barrios; y sus hermanos Manuel Ureño, Tony Ureño y Robert Ureño.
Rudy será recordado como un gran esposo, padrastro, abuelo, hermano y hijo.
Habrá una visita en la funeraria Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, en dirección 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720, el jueves, 28 de agosto de 2025, de 5:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m., seguida por el Rezo del Santo Rosario a las 6:00 p.m.
La Misa de funeral se celebrará el viernes, 29 de agosto de 2025, a las 10:00 a.m., en la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón, en dirección 2140 N Cedar Ave., Fresno, CA 93703.
