We were very saddened to hear of Russ's passing.    I always enjoyed hearing his stories during
the time he worked with us and sharing memories of NJ.    Sending strength and encouragement
to Cathy, Bradley and your family during this difficult time.  Russ will always be smiling and
watching over you.

Cathie; I am so glad that Bob and I came out to visit two years ago and got to spend much time with you and Russ. I also remember your wedding day, such a wonderful day. Please know we are praying for you. Love Tricia

Hugger, Carole Burchesky (Starr) here. I am so so very sorry to hear. I will never forget memories such as "Bozo Blow the Glow Ball Round the Bottle!" Game! (Which I think Russ invented?) Tubing down...the Red? River? Praying that happy memories fill your heart, that grief does not tear you apart from gratitude for a life well lived. All my love, Carole

To the family I offer my sympathy. To all his friends we will miss his smile and kindness. I was Russ’s swimming coach at Union College. Those were his days of hard work on the team and being apart of the success with his friends. He would do anything for his friends- some good and some bad. Did not matter he supported them in thick and thin. His devotion to friends made all of us do a better job because he touched our souls.

Sometimes in life you come across people who make memories.  Russ was one of those people.  Even though I left Fresno over 30 years ago and didn’t have any contact with him since, I have memories that will last a lifetime because of Russ.   Whether it was tubing down the river or staying up all night roasting the pig for the annual “pig push”, Russ was usually the instigator.  Thank you for those special memories.   May you Rest In Peace.

I remember when Russ first arrived in Fresno and came into the downtown (Tuolumne & L St) office of the Travelers. Big move from New Jersey to California!!

Parties and get togethers were always a fun occasion at the Pipo household! Who could forget the Pig Roasts manned overnight by a Merry Band of roasters-the pig was always great!!

I have lived in Fresno most of my life and thought it was such a coincidence that their home on Buckingham backed up to one of my childhood homes.

Forever watching pennies,I recall him splitting wood for a new roof! Always a project going on
around the house.

Truly one of a kind!!

My dear Cathie,
I will always remember Russ with fondness.  I remember his fun loving spirit and how much he loved you and the boys.
