Russell is survived by his wife, Vivian Takeuchi; his son Russell Takeuchi Jr.; his daughter Keila Tolladay; his son-in-law Michael Tolladay Jr.; and his son Garrett Takeuchi; his father Leo Takeuchi and his mother Jane Takeuchi; his sister Patty Negoro; his niece Kiana Negoro.

A celebration of life for Russell will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 10:00 am at UCP+ Central California North Campus.
Russell will be laid to rest in Fowler District Cemetery.
