Our precious angel Sally Catherine Kedzior met Jesus on Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was born premature with a rare genetic syndrome and attended special education programs in Paso Robles. Eight years ago the family moved to Fresno because of Break the Barriers, Inc., where she participated in buddy basketball, gymnastics, swimming, piano, voice, and summer camp.
She graduated from Clovis West High School and would have been in her second year at Links, an adult transition program, through CUSD. Sally loved drama and was rehearsing for the musical Grease when she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in May and was unable to attend the final performance.
She loved babies, the color purple, butterflies, ladybugs, Minnie Mouse, cutting pictures from magazines and shredding them, going to Barnes and Noble with her mother Mary, feeding the ducks and geese at Woodward Park with her dad Tony, and talking on the phone with her brother David, who lives in Wisconsin; she loved swinging on the patio swing with Mom and Dad and was known for her signature wave to everyone she met.
She loved her Papa Gary and her late Grandma Nancy; her Grandpa Jess; and Grandma Hilda, whom she planned to visit in Spokane when she recovered from chemotherapy.
It seemed like Sally was winning her battle with lymphoma based on her most recent CT scans, but on Friday afternoon she had one of her seizures related to her syndrome and passed away in her mother's arms.
Sally is survived by her parents, Mary and Tony Kedzior; her brothers, David and Michael Kedzior and their spouses, Carol and Susi, respectively; nieces, Kayla and McKenzie, grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at Northwest Church, 5415 N. West, Fresno on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 10:00 a.m.. Please wear something purple.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Break the Barriers, Inc.; Northwest Church; or Chil- dren's Hospital Central California.
