Theresa Ann Romero was born in West Covina, California on March 1, 1970 and passed away in Fresno, California on November 30, 2010 at the age of 40. She was the seventh child of nine born to Raymond & Florence Romero
Theresa was survived by her husband, Manuel Romero Jr.; daughter, Audrey Amesqua; son Jospeph Espinoza; grandson, Isaiah Thomas Uribe; and son-in-law, Manuel Uribe Jr. Her brothers are, Raymond Romero Jr., Andy Romero, Steve Romero, Leonard Romero, and Larry Romero. Her sisters are, Carol Peña, Elena Alfaro, and Desiree Estrada.
Theresa attended school at Sun Empire Elementary in Kerman. She had a best friend, Sarah Valenzuela with who she remained friends throughout life. Theresa graduated from Central Unified High School. She continued her schooling at Fresno City College in Medical Billing and received her associate’s degree. Theresa worked for the I.R.S. for 8 years before pursuing her career in Medical Billing where she worked at the House Psychiatric Clinic in Fresno.
Theresa lived in Fresno the majority of her life. She had her children in her young adult life. Theresa was a single parent raising her children with the help of her parents. She was determined to live on her own and not be dependent or be a burden to anyone, even if it was a struggle or hardship at times. Theresa loved her children very much and did a great job raising them.
Theresa was very good at fixing things. If something broke, she wouldn't go out and buy a new one, she had to take it apart, find out why, put it back together and 97% of the time she fixed it. That's the type of person she was, good at figuring things out and solving puzzles. Theresa was also hot tempered; if you got her mad she would let you know and didn't hold back. Just ask Manuel.
One thing Theresa really loved was her oldies but goodies. She would record tapes and CD's and give them to her brothers & sisters. Her favorite color was black, if she could have everything in house black, she would have.
Theresa met Manuel Romero Jr. about 7 years ago, that's how much she loved her name and independence, she married a Romero. Theresa and Manuel shared some good times together. They were married by the court on September 5th, 2008 and they were planning to have a wedding with their family, but unfortunately that didn't happen.
There was one person that kept Theresa going and that was her grandson, Isaiah. She loved him very much. If she could have, she would have kept Isaiah at home with her and have the parents visit them, but of course, Audrey wouldn’t let her or should we say, Daddy wouldn’t let her.
Unfortunately, Theresa got sick. She had a rare disease, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension; high blood pressure in the lungs. Unknown to her, she was in a fight for her life. Theresa was strong and put up a good fight, but eventually she lost the battle and passed on November 30th. Theresa will deeply be missed by her friends and family and loved ones. Theresa will always be remembered for the good things she did and how she would try to help others. Theresa left behind her children who will always remember her as a loving mother.
