Thomas was born in Monterey, California and passed away on January 5, 2019, at the age of 93. He grew up in Monterey and Hiroshima, Japan returning to California in 1941. During WWII, Thomas was interned at Amache, Colorado and Tule Lake, California. After stays in Crystal City, Texas and Seabrook, New Jersey, he returned to California. Thomas married his wife Mae on July 21, 1956, enjoying 53 years together. He worked at Bayly Manufacturing Company in Sanger as a cutter for 33 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and participating in church activities. He will be remembered for his sense of humor.
Thomas was preceded in death by son, Gary and wife, Mae.
He is survived by daughter June and partner Masud Mansuri and daughter Elaine Mah and her husband Phillip. He will be greatly missed by grandsons, Braden Kamigawachi and Ryan and Tyler Mah.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Lisle Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 am.
