Tomiko Nobori

Our beloved Auntie Tomi passed away on July 18 in Fresno, California. She was born on August 13, 1934 in Norwalk, California to Shigeki and Satoyo Yokota. Her family moved to the Fresno area in 1945 where she later graduated from Sanger High School. She married her love, Richard Kunio "Dick" Nobori in 1958.

She loved her work as a Safeway employee and retired after many years of service. Throughout her life, Auntie Tomi made countless friends and she cherished each and every one of them. She enjoyed lunches out with her friends and family, trying her luck at Table Mountain and Chukchansi, celebrating the holidays, and shopping. All that knew her say her smile lit any room and she will always be remembered for her loyalty, kindness, and generosity.

She is survived by her brother Hideaki (Ryuko), Richard Hasegawa, Keiko Yokota, and her nephews and nieces, Dan (Kristi) and Lloyd (Eileen) Hasegawa, Chie, Don (Pauline) and Harold Yokota, Kariann (Hiddo) Houben Yokota, Audrey (Ryan) Yokota Rhoads, and her extended family and friends.

A viewing will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Friday, July 27 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. Funeral Service on Saturday, July 28 at 11:00 am at the Lisle Funeral Home.
