Mr. Victor Bringetto

Vic grew up on a farm with a hard working family in Kerman, CA. He was a star football player for Kerman High School, and with a broken leg from a football injury, he was drafted out of high school to proudly serve our country during World War II. On July 22, 1944, he was awarded the Expert, M1 Rifle Lapel Pin. When he returned home, he started working at a gas station, and later opened his own auto parts and repair business in 1954, Rolinda Auto Parts, where he was known as a man of his word, and was admired for his honesty and integrity. Vic operated a second location at the four corners of Kerman named B & L Service. He also ran a tow service for AAA for more than 44 years that covered a large area on the west side of Fresno County. It never failed, once you sat down to enjoy a holiday meal, the phone would ring, he'd jump in that large yellow tow truck, and off he would go to help someone in need. When he wasn't hard at work expanding his business, you could usually find him working in his two small vineyards as he thoroughly enjoyed watching the dirt turn and the crops grow. He said that was very relaxing.

Vic and Alberta loved dancing and were members of several clubs. His favorite song was Streets of Bakersfield and they would zoom across the dance floor.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Paolo and Angialina; his brothers, Dorino, Augustino, Carlo, and Mario; and his sister, Adeline Yovino.

He is survived by his wife Alberta; his son, Victor and his wife Jan; his son Michael; his daughter, Barbara and her husband Bill; his brother, Leo and his wife Shirley; as well as six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a very large extended family.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
