He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Warren was stationed in India during The China, Burma, India Theater. He subsequently worked for United Air Lines as an inspector for 30 years. He was also Junior Vice Commander of the western states for the C. B. I., group, and was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for many years.

He was preceded in death by Jan, his wife and mother of his children; brother, Frank, and sisters Vivian and Mary of Ohio.
Warren is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Maureen Wong of Benicia; son, Warren Phillips, Jr. of Hayward; sister, Adele Ziether; and brother, Karl Heazer of Ohio.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
A private military service will be held in Hayward, California.
Remembrances may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
