Wesley Francis Willits, age 82, passed away quietly in Fresno on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 with family by his side. Wes was born in Modesto, Ca. and moved to Eureka, Ca. at the age of five. He graduated from Humboldt State with a teaching degree in fine arts. After serving in the army for two years, he began teaching at Tranquillity Union High School in 1957 and taught there until retiring in 1995.
The family extends their thanks to the dedicated and loving staffs at both Somerford Place and St. Agnes Hospice.
Wes leaves behind his wife, Barbara, of 59 years; son, Richard and his wife Christy; son, Robert and his wife Caron; son, Grant and his wife Lori; daughter, Jo and her husband Philip Kader; grandchildren, James, Allison, Emilly, Carson and Hannah.
A Graveside service will be held at Clovis Cemetery, on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Agnes Hospice, the Alzheimer's Association, or charity of your choice.
