Mr. Ulrich was a fine man, excellent teacher, and a pillar of self-effacing support for untold others at DUHS for decades.  Who can ever forget him faithfully and generously transporting countless bushels of popcorn in his VW for later sale at countless ball games?  I am proud to say I was a student of his in the 70s and that my father taught with him briefly in the 60s, and we both had respect for his character and intellect.  May his family find some comfort in these words and may God grant him the eternal peace he so richly deserves.

I learned a lot of history from Mr. Ulrich and Mr. Wann.  I loved his joke about his time in the Army while stationed in Alaska with a clerical outfit, typing away for hours on end.
"We called ourselves the 'Remington Raiders'," he would say.  "They also serve who hunt & peck."

I remember Mr. Ulrich as a patient teacher with kind eyes. He smiled a lot. My condolences to His family.

So sorry for your loss.  No words can express how difficult this must be for all of you right now.  There is no one that will be able to fill his chair at the table you all shared. I remember Mr. Ulrich being quiet, but always had a smile when I saw him. A lovely man indeed.

I miss you so much. I wish you could have stayed with us longer, but I guess God has other plans for you. My heart aches when I think this world without you.  I Love You.
