Zachary Aaron Phillip Leeworthy-Alcantar

Zachary Leeworthy-Alcantar passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013, at the age of 12. Zachary was born on August 8, 2000, and passed away while riding his beloved quad. Zachary was fortunate to be held in the arms of his mother and step-father when he took his last breath.

Zachary was a student at Kastner Intermediate and a member of the band where he played the Alto Saxophone. He enjoyed reading, enjoyed music, video games and numerous outdoor activities. Zachary was funny, happy, and had a heart of gold. He touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Zachary had dreams of becoming an archeologist. Zachary's heart was filled with the love of God and at 12 he knew that God would take him home one day! Fly home our dearest son. And until we meet again we love you.

Zachary was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Elaine Alcantar; and cousin, Eric Leeworthy.

Zachary is survived by his mother and step-father, Felicia and Eli Mesple; father and step-mother, Jonathon and Christine Leeworthy; brothers, Matthew Leeworthy and Nathan Mesple; sisters, Lilyanna Mesple, Paige Leeworthy, and Natalianna Mesple; grandparents, Humberto Alcantar, Donald and Suzanne Leeworthy; step-grandparents, John and Debbie Newman, Maurice and Violet Mesple; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held at Valley Life Community Church, Selma, on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at Selma Cemetery District.
