Zella was born in Folsom CA, on July 24, 1933. Her family eventually settled in Fresno where she raised her daughter and taught in the Fresno Unified School District until her retirement in 1989.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Mallard; mother, Anna Renna; and her brother, Royce Mallard.
Zella is survived by her daughter, Stephnanie Anne Ryals Leong; her son-in-law, Patrick Liang Leong; and granddaughter, Shaun Christianna Leong.
Private services will be held.
