2017 at her home in The Colony, Texas. She was born on February 19, 1986 in
Long Beach, California but grew up in the Antelope Valley in California. When
Carolyn was about seven or eight years old she ate the whole inside of a loaf of
French bread but left the outer crust intact. She put it back in the packaging and put
it back where it was. When it was dinner time and we went to eat; it was hollow!
Carolyn was very funny, quick witted, and clever. She was a definite survivor. She
didn’t realize it but she persevered and accomplished things that she was told were
impossible. She loved hard and was one hundred percent loyal to those she loved.
She absolutely loved animals in all shapes, sizes, and breeds. She had a dark sense
of humor that we all loved. She was also fun loving and goofy. She had a beautiful
smile and a contagious laugh.
Carolyn’s family and friends nick named her: “Pepto”, “Care-non”, “Kern-ler”,
“Care-bear” “My Carren” and “Carrie”. She graduated from Desert Christian High
School in 2004 and she was one semester from graduating community college with
an Associate’s Degree in History. In addition to her love of history she had an
interest in mortuary science that she had considered pursuing.
Carolyn had ten plus years of experience in retail/cashier positions. She was
always recognized for her great attitude, hard work, impeccable work ethic, and
amazing customer service. She always received wonderful reviews from her
superiors and most importantly her customers.
Carolyn LOVED animals. All animals! Carolyn’s favorite place was Disneyland
and her favorite color was green. Her favorite foods were cheese pizza, journey
cakes, and “snappy weenies”. She loved books and movies and all things stationary
– pens, markers, journals…
Some more of her favorites include any movie by Quentin Tarantino and she had a
love for horror films. Her favorite genre of music was definitely punk but she
loved Nirvana, POW and The Adicts and her favorite band was Green Day. Her
favorite tv shows include: The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, American Dad, Sons of
Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Law and Order SVU & Death Note.
Carolyn was a born again Christian and a very spiritual person.
Her beloved brother, Brent Schacher said it best, “My entire childhood was made
enjoyable and incredible because I grew up with my best friend. My entire
childhood is now a ‘special memory’ I love my sister.”
From Cyndi Schacher, “I loved that Carolyn would text me every morning just to
say hello and that she loved me – even if we were in the same home. I would be
inundated with ‘Hey!’, ‘Are you up?’, ‘It’s getting late.’ And on and on about every
ten minutes until I got up. She always made me feel loved, wanted an appreciated.
I love her with all my heart”
Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Lynn Marie Schacher; her
Grandfather, Harold B. Olsen, her Grandma Sasser, Nana and her Uncle Rick
Schacher
Her legacy and memory will live on through her mother, Julie M. Hoover “Belly
Mom” & Denis Hoover of Rolling Hills, CA; her father, Ronald B Schacher of
Shady Cove, OR; her “Other Mom”, Cynthia E. Schacher of Dallas, TX; her
brother, Brent Schacher and his fiancée, Jamie Kurowski of Rolling Hills, CA ;
Heather & Jeff Phipps with Adeylnn and Ava of Denver, CO;

Carolyn was loved while she was here with us on earth, and she will continue to be
loved through time and all eternity.
