Catherine Marie Wagner

Catherine was born on December 23, 1941, in New York City, NY, to John and Winifred Acker. She was a 1959 graduate of Highland High School in Albuquerque, NM, and attended the University of New Mexico. On April 11, 1964, Catherine married Lawrence Wagner. Together they raised four children in Midland, TX, where they lived for over fifty years.

While in Midland, Catherine was an active volunteer with the Master Gardeners and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Her greatest joys were her faith, her family, working in her garden, and traveling to new places. She leaves a legacy of kindness, grace, and generosity, even through life’s challenging times.

Catherine is preceded in death by her father, John Acker, and her mother, Winifred Acker. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence, siblings Bernadette Adkins of Las Vegas, NV, Eileen Shumate of Sun City, AZ, and Tom Acker of Cedar Park, TX; her children, Karen and husband Andy Sealy of Frisco, Sherry Wagner of Frisco, Jennifer and husband Greg Kroeger of Waxahachie, TX, and Robert and wife Emily of Corinth, TX; and her five grandchildren Alex, Elizabeth, Claire, John and Kate.

Funeral mass will be held in Albuquerque, NM, on May 3 at 10:00 AM at the Shrine of St. Bernadette with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
