

Francisco Alberto Mayorquin, age 81, of McKinney, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Frisco, with a Rosary being conducted at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Mayorquin was originally born in Honduras. He came to the United States in 1970 and lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for 38 years before moving to McKinney. He attended college and afterwards he began working for the Standard Fruit Company. After serving as a seaman with the U.S. Merchant Marines, he became a member of the Carpenter’s and Pile Local Union 1846 in New Orleans, LA where he was employed for many years with Kolhmaier and Kohlmaier, Inc. He was so good at his craft that he could actually restore antiques to their original luster. In addition to his occupation, he also enjoyed working around the house, watching movies, and listening to music.
He is survived by his wife, Marina E. Mayorquin; sons, Francisco G. Mayorquin, Jose M. Mayorquin and wife Flor Mayorquin, Dario Mayorquin, Manuel Avila and wife Marcia Avila, Edward Mayorquin and wife Blanca; daughters, Claudia Garcia and husband Mario, Martha Morales and husband Jason; brother, Victor Mayorquin; grandchildren, Franco, Jonathan, Julian, Elian, Thasia, Manuel Jr., Victor, Brandon, Evan, Erick, Sophia, Sebastian, Sabella, Jacob and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Geovani, Bentley, Jacoby, Sofia, Natalie.
