Haley Makenzie DeBerry of Frisco Texas joined our Father on Sunday, December 6, 2020, in her home surrounded by her family. Makenzie is survived by her father Anthony Clark DeBerry, mother Maricela DeBerry, brothers Kalan Joby Baeza, Tevin Christopher Baeza, nephews Tristan and Kai, puppy girl Lilly, grandmothers, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Makenzie was born in Midland, Texas on August 20th, 1996, where she was raised until August of 2008. In 2008, Frisco, Texas became home. Here she started middle school at Roach Middle School, then Graduated from Heritage High School, where she met so many lives that will be forever touched.
Kenzie was born with the heart of a champion, with a spirit that gave her the drive to do anything she set her mind to. She is an athlete, where she shined in volleyball, soccer, basketball and track. She is tough and strong, and could throw a punch anyone would be proud of. She is strong willed and free spirited with a heart of gold. She loves music, singing, driving fast and sharing her wisdom with those who would accept it. She is wise beyond her years.
Makenzie possessed a love for working with people and listening, where she thrived as a bartender. She became fast friends with so many, and let her light shine among all those that needed it the most. She recently graduated from Champions School of Real Estate, where she had plans of becoming a realtor. With Makenzie’s natural intuition with people, and her ability to see those in need with her special eyes, real estate would have been second nature. She was so excited to take this next step in her life and begin this new venture.
Makenzie had a passion for life and loved to share it with everyone. She is a light to all who crossed her path in her short journey here on earth. She never met a stranger, and Makenzie’s greatest pleasure is giving hope and love to anyone in need. Through her kind words or with her beautiful smile, she let them all know that they were loved and seen. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. All who met her fell in love with her, for the gifts of love and knowledge she possessed. Giving of herself was effortless to her. Her light will continue to illuminate the footsteps of those who feel lost and those who witnessed it in her life.
Makenzie had great purpose in life and light to share. Her journey continues and is now without limits to share with the entire universe. The past 24 years, this world has been better because of her, and now her light can be shared for eternity, unbound by the restraints of this world. She will be forever missed, and will be carried in our hearts forever through her amazing spirit and the gifts that she left to those of us still here. We all are blessed to have been in her life, to walk for even a second in her light, to hear her beautiful laugh or see her amazing smile. Today we celebrate her life and are so grateful for the time that we were blessed with her. Rest forever in peace Kenzie. Fly free.
