Heather Marie Stjernstrom

Heather Marie Stjernstrom was born on July 24, 1980 to Roland & Sandra Plaster. She graduated from Canton Highschool and was a member of the Heatwave Choir there. Heather was a Baptist of Faith and grew up in Canton, TX. As they were growing up, Heather and her brother Ben were very adventurous. They built a treehouse fort where Heather was in charge of decorations and Ben built the fence. They played in the fort almost on a daily basis from morning until late in the evening, loving the domesticated life early on. She loved to help in the kitchen where she learned to cook with her Momma and she loved helping out on the farm with the cows and chickens. One special memory her brother has happened during one of her “favorite” jobs on the farm, cutting brush. It was a nice Texas spring day, couldn’t have been more than 70 degrees and Heather was unable to continue cutting brush because she was suffering from heat stroke only 5 minutes into the job. Ben couldn’t come up with a good excuse so he had to finish the job all by himself. Got to give you props on that one Sis!!!!

Heather and Magnus met in 2016, they fell in love, and were married on September 16, 2017. They lived and raised their children in The Colony, TX where they enjoyed many family game nights and sitting on the patio in front of the fire pit. Heather loved entertaining her friends and family through food and music. She hosted annual Friends-giving dinners for her closest friends and loved family Thanksgivings and Christmas mornings with her husband and kids.

Heather lived life to the fullest, occasionally pulling out her guitar to sing one of her favorite tunes. Her friends knew her by Miss B, H-Town or just plain H. Heather's favorite saying was “When words fail music speaks.” She loved being the center of attention in pageants or while singing. Heather also enjoyed writing songs, baking, cooking, decorating, and she was great at fishing if you could get her out there! She loved the movie “Walk the Line” and her favorite TV show was Friends. Heather liked country music, especially Miranda Lambert. She loved laughing at herself and was famous, or infamous depending on your perspective, for saying the oddest things at the oddest times.

She is most remembered for being genuine, true to her friends, and accepting of others. Heather had a way of making people feel comfortable around her. She was loyal to her friends; the glue to her friend groups, especially the “Love Square.” She is remembered for always putting others before herself.

Heather is preceded in death by her grandparents, Luther & Gladys Plaster; and great-grandparents, Benjamin & Mabel Thornton and Eldon & Alice Hues.

She is survived by her loving husband, Magnus Stjernstrom; son, Dylan Plaster; step-daughter, Maddie Stjernstrom; parents, Roland & Sandra Plaster; grandparents, William & Betty Thornton; and brother Ben Plaster (Jenn) as well as many cousins and other relations.
