Imogene White passed from this life on to her eternal home on March 24th, 2018 in Frisco, Texas. Imogene was born on March 18th, 1921 to her parents, Uldric Stanney Nelms and Ethel Pearl Mullins in Tom Bean, Texas. Imogene was the third child out of five. She shared her childhood with four sisters, Frankie, Mary Jo, Frances, and Sue. To her family and friends, she was known as Jean or Moma Jean. Imogene was the mother of two, Tom and Linda.
Imogene worked as a telephone operator at East Texas Motor Freight. She also served lunch to the kids at Peters Colony School for over ten years. She was stubborn but always willing to help others. She tutored and would read to the kids in The Colony. Imogene read every book and newspaper she could get her hands on, plus kept up with the T.V. News channels, Fox News and CNN News. Imogene’s favorite place to be was in her garden or in Hawaii. She enjoyed painting water colors, quilting, sewing, baking, gardening, and the colors pink and purple.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, Uldric Stanney Nelms and Ethel Pearl Mullins; her sisters, Frankie, Mary Jo, and Sue; her grandsons, Craig and Bart; and her son in law, Philip Schneider. Imogene was survived by her sister, Frances Paine; her son, Thomas White and his wife, Carol, of Frisco, Texas; her daughter, Linda Schneider of New Mexico; her grandchildren, Steven, Alex, Philip, Rachel, and Audrea; her great grandchildren, Brandon, Kristian, Justin, Maria, Kurt Jr, Nathan, and Jason; and her great great granddaughter, Natalie.
