Jim and I were classmates, friends and fraternity brothers at UNT and had many great times together racing around the campus, generally getting into mischief.  Jim had a joy of living in him that always kept him perpetually young, to me. We started out in art classes together, but Jim got smart and went over to pre-med. I saw him a very few times in later years, as he helped me with some health issues that became resolved for the better. Thanks, Jim. You will be sorely missed my wonderful friend. I never met his family, but I humbly offer my condolences to all of you. R.I.P. my great artist friend!

Roxanne, Jake, Justin, and Natalie we want to extend our most sincere condolences in this time of great loss in your family.  A fond memory of mine was my very interesting and fun conversation(s) with Dr. Goodman (Jim) regarding medicine and biology. It was such a pleasure to speak to someone so passionate and talented. He truely had healing hands and aided many in need. This was a beautiful gift of his and admirable quality. I, also, greatly appreciate his genuine care for my children when they were sick. He would be on the phone with my parents trying to help them when they were ill. I am so thankful for his help in our time of need for a doctor. He will always be with us, loved, and cherished.

Roxanne,Jake,Justin,and Natalie, we are sorry for your loss. It is beyond belief that Jim is gone,and gone too soon.  Jim will be greatly missed. Jim was amazingly gifted as a doctor, artist, connoisseur of food, of the goods things in life, and much more.  Most notably was who Jim was as a person.  Jim always demonstrated his “great” love for his family visible through his beautiful, fun, loving relationship with his family.  That love did not end there.  It poured onto everyone.  Jim was real. He engaged with everyone  in fun and conversation,   He was a genuinely caring, amiable good man.  He truely lived up to his name.  Thank you Jim for the good times we shared which we will fondly remember.

Mr. Goodman will be missed, but not forgotten. He always found a way to light up a room, from sparking a conversation, to telling a joke or limerick, speaking about guns or history, and sometimes all of these together. Jim will continue to live on not only through both of his sons and memories, but through those he has saved.

Jim is missed, he was a second dad to me.  When we were younger and hanging out with Justin and friends there was always a good story to hear, it seemed like he always wanted to make us laugh.  It feels like yesterday we would be playing video games and he would be in the office painting and listing to classical music.  

Jim was special and one of a kind, He is missed, and I feel blessed that I know him.    Whenever I had the chance to be around him, he would always have a good story and something to laugh about. 

Roxanne, Justin, Natalie, Jake I am sorry for the loss and can't express how much Jim meant to everyone.  Prayers for all.  

Jim, thank you for being in our lives.

My heartfelt condolences and love go out to all of Jimmy's family and so many others who loved him.  My sister, Connie and I unfortunately did not know Jimmy well, but we remember our Dad, Leon, and Mother, Evelyn, speaking of Aunt Lisa Belle and Jimmy, whom they loved very much.  In fact, our Mom was treated in hospital by Jimmy in 1975.  Although his hospital affiliation was quite a distance from where she was living, she told me that she refused to be hospitalized if Jimmy would not be treating her.  Our Mother passed away shortly after this (from unrelated causes), and it was always comforting to me to know that she was given such loving attention and care by Jimmy in the days leading up to her passing.  What a great legacy of care Jimmy has!

It is wonderful to see the photographs here and I'm noticing Jimmy's strong resemblance to Aunt Lisa Belle.  There must be a great reunion going on in the heavens!

We're so sorry for your loss at this difficult time.

When thinking of Jim so many wonderful memories come to mind. No doubt that a book could be written on the ventures that We've experienced with Jim and your family over the course of 20+ years!
The one ( amongst so many) quality that Jim possessed that so many others in Frisco can agree with is his mentoring of so many of Justin and Jake's friends. He may have been a father to two, but was a DAD to so many more!
Jim took such an interest in all phases of their lives. He genuinely cared about their schooling, health, career choices etc.  Jim always saw the good in all of them and encouraged each one to do their best. Most are in their 30's now and have stayed in touch throughout the years.

Jim will certainly be missed on vacations, shooting trips, dinners, parties and other get togethers. It will seem odd not having that unparalleled sense of humor around. I guess Roxanne won't have to be telling all to "put on your boots" like when the stories by Jim were too "out there". We're all guilty of buying many of them!!

Though not related by blood, the Goodman gang will always be family to us.

Grief is a heartache that slowly heals.  Jimmy will be missed sadly, but he will always be in our hearts.  May God bless you and care for you at this time.

My heart is sad for our family. Jim was always the one who made the world jump around to his tune.  When he married Roxanne, I’m not sure he knew what he was in for with our family. He didn’t stand a chance against Mama.  But our times together were memorable. I won’t forget you Jim. Journey in peace!  Meet you on the other side when I get there!

Sending love and prayers of comfort to all the family.  Jim holds a special place in my heart.  Back in 1975, he treated my Mama for pneumonia and she told me how proud she was of the fine doctor he'd become and I shared with her a light-hearted memory I had of him.  When I was 16, I'm not sure how I managed to get a picture of him, but I carried it in my wallet and showed it to all my girlfriends, bragging, "That's my cousin and he's a doctor".  We only saw each other a few times at Mama  & Papa Coe's, but I remember how nice he was to us younger kiddos.

    	 There are no words that can express the heartbreak and sorrow that you are experiencing over the loss of your beloved Husband and Dad.  
	As a member of the Coe Family, I speak by simply stating, Jimmy was the epitome of a highly intellectual person.  He devoted years to human caring and saving lives .  In addition, he possessed a firm love for his family,  as well as, a strong committed Professional work ethic.  Lastly, but certainly not least, he was a perfectionist at perfectly-timed, witty humor with a small twist of sarcasm.  This was  always followed with loads of laughter by everyone.  This type of humor is found in several members of our family and is certainly considered by me to be a very endearing trait.

Jim has always been a character.  And man!  Could he cook ribs!!   And he held the 2nd amendment very dear to his heart! I’ll miss his smiling  face as he lifted his glass to us all!  Safe journey to your rest!  We will see you when we get there. Have the glasses ready!!
