Sheila and I were saddened to hear about Jason's passing this week.  We have had to honor and pleasure of working with him for the past 18 years and truly appreciated both his work and his friendship.  He was always honest in his dealings and would make time to help us, even after hours.  

It his us especially hard as my wife and I run a small technical company as Jason and Kellie do.  He and I are about 1 year apart in age, our businesses are about the same size and we work with our spouses.  Our businesses were started a year apart and Jason and Kellie were married one year earlier than we were.  I work a lot of late hours as Jason did which definitely makes me think about my work/life balance.

Jason left the business in great hands and Kellie will carry on his legacy.  We will continue to work with Kellie and will be there for her if she needs us.  The world lost a truly great person and Jason will be sorely missed.

I worked with Jason and Kelly at S&A Restaurant Corp.  Jason was always smiling,  kind,  and helpful.  He was a pleasure to work with!  They were such a cute couple and I remember when they were dating!  I'm so saddened that he left way too soon.  My heart goes out to his family and prayers during this difficult time.  He was a great guy and I hope you will have peace with the many great memories.

Jason was so naturally good at nearly everything. I remember as a child being in awe of his talents, his imagination, and how no matter what we were doing or where we happened to be, he always made it fun and exciting.
Once, I remember him telling our Mother that he wanted to enter an art contest and that he was going to win it! I was scared for him because a lot of older kids were entered too and they were very talented. I didn't want to see him disappointed if he lost. Of course, he won. And that was what Jason was like.  Whatever he put his mind to, he did.  If he had come to me and said, 'I'm going to walk on the moon.'  I would have gotten a telescope so I could see him waving at me. It was like growing up with Superman, if Superman had a skinny and awkward kid brother. 
As we grew older our interest went in different directions, and for the first time I could appreciate the hard work and dedication he had to follow his dreams. As his accomplishments grew,  I was even more in awe of him.  I can honestly say, though, I don't think Jason was ever truly happy until he met Kellie. She completed something inside him, and attending their wedding was one of the events in my life that I will never forget. 
I moved away shortly thereafter, and as life does, weeks turn into months and then years. We talked on the phone. and even visited a few times. It was not often enough, though.  There always seemed like there would be time. As I sat down to write this today I realized that I cannot remember the last time I told my brother that I loved him. I know I have before, and he probably looked at me like I was a dork, but it bothers me that I cannot recall the exact occasion, and hope that he knew.  So if you will all humor me a moment I would like to say, 'Jason I love you!"  I take comfort knowing that when my time comes I'll be going to a place that that is brighter and more wonderful than it was before he got there,  just like it was when we were kids. 

My uncle Jason is a great uncle. He showed me and my family the joys of model rocket launching. The first time we went to launch rockets we stayed nearly all day. Then we started going every time we could. Every time I go model rocket launching I will think of him and good memories.

My favorite memory of Uncle Jason was when he got his model rocket level 1 certification and he told me he would sponsor me so that I could get my junior level 1 certification one day soon. It made me feel so proud and happy that we could accomplish that together. He also gave me money to help me buy one of my favorite model rockets. I am so thankful we got to launch it together. I miss him very much.   

Trying to narrow down one favorite memory of my uncle Jason is impossible when there are so many. What sticks out to me is my earliest memory of Jason from when I was around  7 years old. Kellie and Jason were still dating, and they took me to the Omni Theater. During the movie, I got scared and grabbed Jason’s hand. From that moment on, I knew that he would be a part of our family and someone that I could always depend on. Through a lot of the best moments from my childhood to now, Jason has been there. Words cannot express how much I love and miss my uncle Jason.

There aren’t enough words to say or enough memories I could tell to describe life with my Uncle Jason. He was the coolest & most dorky (in the best way) uncle you could have. Going to my Aunt Kellie & Uncle Jason’s house was easily one of my favorite things to do growing up. It still is today.  For as long as I can remember, he always had a corvette. Back when I was really young, maybe 5 or 6, I would feel like a movie star riding in it with the top off. I would constantly ask to help do the “stick shift”, yet I could never say it correctly. I would say, “can I do the stick-fish?”, and he always let me and never corrected the way I said it. Every time he would chuckle and I always thought it was because he was happy I was helping him drive. I can’t imagine my life without my Uncle Jason and I don’t want to believe he’s gone, but the memories we shared I will cherish for the rest of my life.  I can’t thank God enough for blessing me with an uncle as good and funny and sweet as him. I love and miss him more than words can describe.

Jason was sure a fantastic cook!  We can attest to the many times he filled our family up with brisket so good it would put you to sleep on the couch!  

The reason why the food was so amazing was because Jason was so amazing.  He made it with love and did everything with love.  

Jason and Kellie have helped me when I needed work, and Jason always so positive and bright and I enjoyed every moment we had together.  

I remember downing my first glass of wine at steak and ale years ago, and I also appreciate you guys turning a blind eye when you kept me in high school while my parents were out of town!  

Rest easy and we love you.

Growing up you were my best friend,  and the brother I never had. The times and the laughs we shared will never be forgotten.  To this day I still will share some of the funny things that we have done together. 
While your earthly family says goodbye,  your heavenly family welcomes you home.
Rest in Peace Jason,  we love you. 

Sometimes you just have those memories that stick with you, your whole life. I am grateful to have some of those with my Aunt Kellie and Uncle Jason. My favorite was Christmas. I was probably 13 or so and able to spend a week during Christmas with them. I helped decorate their beautiful home and the giant Christmas Tree. I will never forget the huge smile Uncle Jason always had. It was contagious. Although its been years since I have been able to visit, I will never forget the memories that we shared. Heaven has gained another angel. Prayers to all of the family. I love you dearly.
