Judy fell in love with her sweetheart, Lawrence Brehmer, in 1981, when they began a long-distance relationship between Detroit and Chicago. They were married August 22, 1982 and shared nearly 40 wonderfully blessed years of marriage.
Judy has had several careers during her lifetime, but the most important titles, were that of Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and loving Wife.
She was a faithful member of Hope Fellowship West in Frisco, Texas. She loved people and never met a stranger. She gave the biggest hugs, for being such a small woman.
To know Judy was to love Judy - her devotion to her husband, Larry, her pride in her 8 children, their spouses, 18 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Most of all, she will be remembered for her love for others, willingness to always help, and how she genuinely tried to make everyone she met feel important and valued. Her love for people cast a wide network that extended to everyone she encountered. She was loved by so many, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Judy is survived by; her loving husband, Lawrence; her children, Jerry, Jodi, Jeff, Jill, Jack, Todd, and Jami, their spouses, Joy, Joe, Kathy, Daniel, Stephanie, Wanda, and Joe, along with her 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Mel and Getty Lake, and her oldest son, Jim Weinzierl.
The Celebration of Life service for Judy Brehmer will be streamed live on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2PM CDT at judybrehmer.com.
