Today I come to you with bitter sweet tears. Our precious little mother has gone to be with her Lord and Savior and with her many friends and family that have gone before her. We are very sad and grieve with hope. Mother passed last night, Monday, 5/5/ 2014 around 7:45 PM. A verse was brought to my attention last night 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. This was my mother. She fought and she ran a good race and definitely kept the faith all the way through her illness. Even with her being as sick as she was, I never saw her shed a tear and she always smiled while continuing to touch people...especially me. At her sickest when she could barely whisper, she said she was praying for various people. I asked her why she continued to care because these last days were about her and that's all I wanted to think about. Her response was "people deserve to be cared about and prayed for." So even in her last days she was continuing to do Gods' work. We will miss her so much but know she's in better hands. She will always be my forever angel watching over me.
Thank you all for your prayers. I think she felt each and every one of them. Please continue to remember us in your prayers, especially our Dad. Mom and Dad would have been married 67 years this Friday, May 9th. Mom was his soul mate and Love of his life. Based on Luke 10:27, Mom loved her God, and Dad with all of her heart, all of her soul, with all of her strength and with all of her mind. You can't ask for a love greater than that.
