Monnie Soto

He was raised on a golf course in Seminole, TX where his passion for golf began. Monnie graduated from Texas Tech University in 1997 and worked his way up in the Software Consulting industry. He became President and Co-founder of Avio Consulting, one of Dallas' fastest growing companies. In the last 6 years, Monnie fought a very hard battle against brain cancer.

Monnie loved spending time with his children and grandchild, family, and friends. He also loved golfing, cooking and eating new foods, and traveling. Monnie was always one to relive old and new stories with his family and friends and play games with family during the holidays. He enjoyed anything that ignited a hearty laugh, and the sillier the better. His sense of humor made all the little things seem trivial, letting all who shared his laughter feel like a kid. Monnie was intentional in spending quality time with family and friends - shared experiences and making memories were important to him.

He will always be remembered for his perseverance, patience, strength, and faith in God in the face of adversity (nothing was given to him, and in his adulthood he faced three open heart surgeries and three brain surgeries). He co-founded and built a successful business, but above all else he would love to be remembered for loving his family more than anything.

He is survived by both his parents, Robert and Erma Soto; his wife, Dulce Soto; Children, Hannah Harrison and Husband Logan Harrison, Kole Soto, Karter Soto; Grandchild, Bennett Harrison; Siblings, Lane Soto and wife Cheryl Soto, Liza Soto and wife Mona Peña, and Samantha Soto.

A time of visitation for Monnie will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033. A rosary service will occur Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033. A graveside service will occur Friday, October 29, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 12130 Peaceful Ln, Frisco, TX 75034. A celebration of life service will occur Friday, October 29, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Stonebriar County Club, 5050 Country Club Dr, Frisco, TX 75034.
