Expectant joy turned to great sorrow when beautiful baby boy Nolan James Slade was born without heartbeat on April 4, 2019. He leaves his loving family to cherish his memory: mother Alicia (Oldfather) Slade, father James Lee Slade and big sister Emery Kay Slade, all of Prosper, TX. Nolan is also survived by grandparents Robin (Kennedy) Oldfather and David Damon Oldfather of Plano, TX, grandmother Nancy Meister Slade of Montgomery, TX, grandfather Lee Willett Slade of Boxborough, MA, uncle Joshua Oldfather of Plano, TX, aunt Susanne Slade of Conroe, TX, great grandmothers Norma Kennedy of Plano, TX, and Gail Oldfather of Colts Neck, NJ, great grandfather James Lee Slade of Oklahoma City, OK, as well as 8 great aunts, 5 great uncles and 21 second cousins.
The family is deeply thankful to the incredibly caring staff of Plano Presbyterian Hospital including Allison D’penhasouza, Nancy Rodriguez, Andrea Gust, Heidi Schermerhorn, Carrie Rapp and Minda Stratton, and to Dr. Michele Pepperell of Frisco Obstetrics and Gynecology, and for the outpouring of love and support from dear family and friends during this extremely difficult time.
The Slades invite all to honor Nolan with them at 10 AM on Sunday April 14 at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX. Baby Nolan will be laid to rest at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in a brief graveside ceremony following the funeral service. All visitors are welcome to attend the graveside ceremony, or to remain at the funeral home during the ceremony. All visitors are then encouraged to join the family for a reception upon their return to the funeral home. The family asks guests to wear a colorful article in honor of Nolan.
