Faye built a long and dedicated career with the FDIC, where she worked for over 25 years after beginning her service in 1986, following a move from Oklahoma City to Murphy, Texas. Beyond her professional life, she was deeply engaged in her community and passions. She served as a board member for Lakeside Community Theatre and found great joy in acting, singing, and dancing. She also loved bird watching and was an enthusiastic supporter of her grandchildren’s school activities, proudly cheering them on as their number one sports fan.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jewell Hopkins.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Keith Moritz; her daughters and their spouses, Stacy and Patrick Clay, Amber and Bob McKenna, and Krysten Hahn and Steven Eric Fisher; her brother, Billy F. Hopkins Jr.; her sister, Anita Kay Covey; and her nine cherished grandchildren and two great grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
A Celebration of Life honoring Faye will be held on May 2, 2026 at 12:00pm with refreshments to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Lakeside Community Theatre: https://lctthecolony.ludus.com
Faye will be remembered for her warmth, her vibrant spirit, and the deep love she had for her family, friends, and community.
