Rhonda Faye (Roberson) Clayton passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2025 in Frisco, Texas. She was born to Euell and Rae Roberson on October 22, 1953 in Lamesa, Texas and grew up in the small farming community of Sand.
Rhonda graduated from Klondike High School in 1972 and moved to Lubbock, Texas where she met and married Randy Clayton in 1978. She worked various office jobs until she started flower arranging in the late ‘80’s eventually starting her own business “Making Memories.” Despite claiming to have a black thumb and to not be very good at taking care of plants, she continued to arrange flowers (fresh and artificial) for friends and family years after leaving the flower business. After moving from Oklahoma City to Kansas City, Rhonda and her family settled in Frisco, Texas in 2001. In 2002, she started working at United American Insurance where she joined a gang she affectionally referred to as “The Lunch Ladies.” They remained friends long after retirement.
Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents Euell and Rae Roberson. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Randy Clayton, her two children, Candace Clayton and Jonathan Clayton, her sister, Rita Roberson Addison, her brother, Don Roberson, and her beloved little fur-buddy, Max.
