Robert “Bob” Henry Angelotti, 67, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, in Plano, Texas. Born on March 26, 1958, in Erie, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of Ann DiPlacido Angelotti and Henry Angelotti, and the youngest of three siblings. He was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn and brother Richard.
Raised in a large, close-knit Italian family, Bob was surrounded by the warmth and love of his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. That strong foundation instilled in him a deep devotion to faith, family, and service—values that guided him throughout his life.
Bob attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Theology and Marketing Communications, graduating with honors. It was there he met the love of his life, Maren. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership rooted in faith, laughter, and devotion. They shared a remarkable life together until her passing in 2015. We all find comfort in knowing they are now reunited.
A man of strong Catholic faith, Bob was a Knight of Magistral Grace in the Order of Malta—an honor that reflected his commitment to service and spirituality. His achievements included receiving the Ronald Reagan Distinguished Leadership Medal and being recognized in Who’s Who in Marketing and Who’s Who in California. He was also inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society.
Bob’s career in media and marketing was defined by creativity, vision, and heart. He led successful campaigns for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including The Walt Disney Company, Sony, HarperCollins, ESPN, Paramount, and The Vatican. His work on films such as The Little Mermaid, The Principle, and The Passion of the Christ reflected his passion for promoting meaningful, high-quality films that resonated with audiences and made a lasting impact.
But above all, Bob’s greatest joy came from his role as a father and grandfather. He is lovingly remembered by his four children: Chris Angelotti, Jaclyn Tyson, Nick Angelotti, and Alicia Horvath; and his cherished grandchildren: Luca, Leonardo, and Capri Angelotti; Riley, Brayden, and Harper Tyson; Azzurra Angelotti; and Milo Horvath. He is also survived by his sons-in-law, Daniel Tyson and Matthew Horvath, and daughters-in-law, Emily and Kathryn Angelotti.
Bob was known for his warmth, wit, and boundless energy. He had a gift for making others feel truly seen and appreciated. He lit up every room he walked into and brought joy to those around him. He loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren—sharing stories, laughter, and the kind of love that stays with you forever.
Bob’s legacy is one of kindness, faith, generosity, and deep devotion. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit lives on in the lives he touched.
