Dora Virginia Butler

Dora Virginia (Ashby)Butler, was born April 16, 1916 in Delaplane, Virginia. On May 14th, 2016 she was called home to be with the Lord in Eternal Rest. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edith Ashby: sisters: Irena Thompson, Genevia Stribling, Marylena Carter, Hattie Haley, brothers: Erastus Ashby, Steve Ashby, Allen Ashby, Lennis Ashby, Thomas Ashby. She was educated in Fauquier County School System. She worked for Dr. And Mrs. Burman for more than 50 years as a caregiver. Dora was married to Eddie Butler from Washington, DC who preceded her in death. She has two daughters; Pearle Payne of Front Royal, VA and Alice Williams of Woodstock, VA, and had one son Daniel Ashby who also preceded her in death. Dora is also survived by her Grandchildren: Gregory Payne of Front Royal, VA; Johnnie Williams Jr. of Brandywine, MD; Cena Frye and husband Troy of Maurertown, VA; Trent Williams and wife Alisha of Woodstock, VA. Great Grandchildren: Brittany Frye-Williams, Desiree Williams, Trent Williams, Jr. and Maya Frye-Williams. Great-great Grandchild: Adrian Tyrell Johnson, Jr.; Godson: Billy Ashby; Goddaughter: Melissa Jones. And a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
