Martin William Bird

A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Bird was born in Arlington on November 19, 1958 a son of Herbert ”Pete” Bird and Joanne Polk Bird. He was an ASE Certified Master Technician for Pohanka Chevrolet. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He served his country in the Army from 1976 to 1988.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bird is survived by his wife of 25 years, Amy Subitzky Bird; his daughters, Victoria Wu of McLean, Stephanie Clifton of KY, Nicole Bird of Winchester and Hanna Bird of Linden; his half-brother, Scott Bird of PA; his half-sisters, Diana of AZ, Dawn of PA and Cindy of DE; and his four grandchildren, Mckayla, Lily, Emily, and Marcus Wu.

Pallbearers will be Robert Polk, Jon Goins, Robert Stevens, Mark Fink, Gene Wu, and Matt Clark.
