

Carol Mayfield Butler, 81, passed away on April 18, 2013 at Poudre Valley Hospital. He was born on April 17, 1932 in Dexter, MO to Fred and Josie (Carey) Butler. He graduated from Dexter High in 1948. Carol served in the United States Air Force from 1948-1958, during the Korean War. Carol married Elizabeth “Betty” Christian on July 4, 1955 in Columbus, OH. She passed away in 2010. They were residents of Colorado since 1958.
Carol was a life-long non-denominational minister, spreading the “word”, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. He had many interests and was an entrepreneur/business owner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty; a granddaughter and two brothers. He is survived by sons, Stephen David (Doris) Butler of Colorado, Van Corbett (Cyana) Butler of Kansas and Herschel (Pamela) Butler of Colorado; daughters, Margaret A. (Charles) Rinehart of Kansas and Beth C. (Jim) Amen of Colorado; brothers, Fred Butler of Missouri, Bobby (Mary) Butler of Texas, and Herschel L. (Elaine) Butler of Illinois; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Entombment Resthaven Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Covenant Frontline International, Inc.
