David was born April 4, 1963, in Denver, CO and grew up on the family farm in Anton, CO before moving to Loveland after high school. David worked construction for many years before going back to college and becoming an IT Specialist. David loved his family, enjoyed riding his Harley, driving his Camaro, going to the family cabin, and the Denver Broncos.
David is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda, his step daughters, Keon Rice (Richard), Jessica Brothers (Steve), Dawn O’Neil, and Taera Witherell (Devon). He also leaves 8 grandchildren, Jesse, Kyle, Shaelyn, Tehgan, Lukas, Logan, Brynna, and Brayden. Brothers and sisters, Terry Detter (Marsha), Vicki Biddle, Sheri Colpitts (Emmitt), Gary Detter (Debbie), Dan Detter (Debbie) and numerous nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Velma and father-in-law, Bill Henry.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 30 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Hwy. 287, Fort Collins, CO, Pastor Gibb will officiate. Burial at Resthaven Memory Gardens with a reception to follow at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends for the viewing on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, 6 pm – 8 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.
